About the event
We’ll share several expressions of a very famous variety of oolong tea from Anxi, China, Tie Guan Yin aka Iron Goddess of Mercy - a quietly complex oolong that reveals itself over time. Prepared through repeated infusions, this tea rewards patience and attention, offering something slightly different with each cup.
The evening is simple and spacious. Tea is prepared slowly and shared mostly in silence, allowing us to notice what happens when we give our full attention to water, leaf, breath, and body. There is nothing to learn and nothing to perform. Just an opportunity to arrive, soften, and listen.
The New Moon offers a natural pause, a moment to clear space and begin again gently. Tea becomes the anchor for that pause, grounding us in the present and opening room for what wants to emerge.
