Grotta Sonora 19″ Handheld Gong
Every Grotta Sonora Gong is completely handmade, so each one is truly unique. The design, sound, overtones, and overall character are always unique for every gong, meaning no two pieces are the same.
Grotta Sonora gongs are tuned by ear. We don’t push the gong into a specific note or frequency, but try to help them express themselves at their best. For this reason gongs have an indicative range of notes in which they can be tuned which corresponds to the diameter of the gong.
The indicated range includes the most common notes, and therefore in which it resonates at its best, in which the gongs in this measure are tuned, but there can always be exceptions!
